SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia will introduce direct flights connecting Sharjah International Airport and Amman City Airport beginning on November 15, 2026. Operating four times weekly, this new route broadens the airline’s network linking the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. Currently, Air Arabia operates flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, which serves Jordan’s capital. The addition of this route offers travelers a second airport option in Amman within the airline’s Sharjah network, enhancing its scheduled services to Jordan.

The flights will run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Flight G9 169 departs Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and arrives in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time. The return service, G9 170, departs Amman at 11:20 a.m. and arrives in Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Tickets for the route are available now via the airline’s website, call center, and travel agencies.
This new service further strengthens Air Arabia Group’s existing Jordan routes. The group currently operates flights from Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport, in addition to flights from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport. The new Sharjah route will extend the group’s connectivity to Amman City Airport from another UAE departure point while maintaining its current Jordan routes.
Air Arabia broadens access to two Amman airports
Adel Al Ali, Group CEO of Air Arabia, stated that the new route provides travelers with access to a second airport in the Jordanian capital. He emphasized that the service will offer increased convenience and flexibility for passengers traveling between the UAE and Jordan. The airline announced the new Sharjah route on October 8, more than a month prior to its scheduled November launch. The route will operate alongside Air Arabia’s existing flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport.
Earlier in 2026, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi launched its own route to Amman City Airport, starting on May 1 with three weekly nonstop flights from Zayed International Airport. This service also connects to Queen Alia International Airport, giving passengers from the UAE capital two options for reaching Amman. In April, Air Arabia announced that these two routes from Abu Dhabi together offered 10 weekly flights to Amman when the second airport route was introduced.
Sharjah route adds four weekly flights to Jordan’s capital
The new service between Sharjah and Amman employs flight numbers G9 169 and G9 170, operating on a fixed four-day weekly schedule. The airline’s fleet includes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft across its broader network. Passengers can also enjoy SkyTime streaming, SkyCafe onboard meals, and the Air Rewards loyalty program. Tickets for flights to Amman City Airport can be booked in advance through the airline’s established sales channels ahead of the November 15 launch.
This expansion enhances Air Arabia Group’s Jordan network through multiple departure points, including Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Alexandria. From Sharjah, passengers will have direct access to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport via Air Arabia. The Abu Dhabi operation also serves both airports, while Alexandria maintains a direct connection to Amman City Airport. The upcoming November launch will add four scheduled weekly flights between Sharjah and Jordan’s capital, expanding the group’s regional flight options.
