Air Arabia will restart daily nonstop flights connecting Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode, India, starting October 16, 2026. This route revival restores a direct air corridor linking the UAE emirate with Kerala’s coastal city. The airline made the announcement on October 6, stating that tickets are now available for booking. The daily flights will re-establish service between Ras Al Khaimah International Airport and Kozhikode International Airport in southern India.

According to Air Arabia, the renewed route will facilitate direct daily connectivity between the UAE and India. Kozhikode, also known as Calicut, is situated on Kerala’s Malabar Coast in southern India. The airline did not specify detailed departure and arrival times in its October 6 announcement, nor did it mention the aircraft type or flight numbers for the resumed daily service. Those specifics were not included in the latest statement either.
Adel Al Ali, the group CEO of Air Arabia, expressed satisfaction with the route’s reinstatement. He highlighted that the daily service would provide travelers with a convenient link between the two cities. Al Ali also emphasized the airline’s ongoing commitment to offering dependable travel options and fostering community connections. The route’s return was driven by travel demand between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode, although passenger forecasts or traffic estimates were not disclosed by the airline.
Daily flights reconnect Kerala with Ras Al Khaimah
This Kozhikode route complements Air Arabia’s existing nonstop destinations from Ras Al Khaimah, which currently include Cairo, Islamabad, Lahore, and Peshawar. From October 16, the Indian service will expand this network. Since commencing operations at Ras Al Khaimah International Airport in May 2014, Air Arabia has maintained the emirate as one of its UAE bases of operation.
The airline initially launched nonstop flights between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode on November 22, 2023. During its initial phase, the route operated three times weekly using Airbus A320 aircraft, with flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays under flight numbers G9 728 and G9 729. With the 2026 restart, the service will increase to a daily schedule, though the airline has not confirmed whether the previous flight numbers or departure times will be retained.
Advance bookings now available ahead of October resumption
Passengers can secure their seats via Air Arabia’s official website, its call center, or through travel agencies. These booking options were confirmed when the airline announced the October restart. The statement did not specify when the route was previously halted or the reasons for the suspension. Additionally, fares, detailed operational times, or aircraft details for the new daily flights have not been disclosed. The focus remains on the restart date, frequency, and city pairing.
Nearly three years after the initial launch, the Kozhikode route will resume on October 16, restoring a nonstop connection between Ras Al Khaimah and Kerala. While the airline has confirmed daily frequency from the restart date, other schedule specifics remain undisclosed. Travelers interested in precise timings, flight numbers, or fare information should consult the airline’s booking channels for current details. No further route modifications have been announced by the airline.
