SHARJAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia plans to commence direct services between Sharjah and Gdansk starting on Dec. 14, 2026. This new route will connect Sharjah International Airport with Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport with five weekly flights. The flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This addition provides another direct link from the UAE to northern Poland and expands Air Arabia’s scheduled flight options within the country. Tickets for these flights are currently available through the airline’s various sales channels.

Air Arabia sets December start for Sharjah Gdansk route
Air Arabia expands UAE-Poland links with five weekly Sharjah-Gdansk flights.

On Mondays and Saturdays, flight G9 0628 departs from Sharjah at 4 p.m. and arrives in Gdansk at 8 p.m. The return journey, G9 0629, will leave Gdansk at 8:50 p.m., arriving back in Sharjah at 6:10 a.m. the following morning. Flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays are scheduled to depart from Sharjah at 8:15 a.m. Return flights from Gdansk will leave at 1:05 p.m. and land in Sharjah at 10:25 p.m. All timings mentioned are local.

Once operational, Gdansk will become the fourth Polish city served directly from Sharjah by Air Arabia, joining Krakow and Warsaw Chopin Airport. Additionally, starting Dec. 17, 2026, the airline will introduce four weekly flights to Katowice, operating on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. These expansions will extend Air Arabia’s Polish network beyond its current two-city coverage, reaching more destinations in the country.

Gdansk’s addition enhances Air Arabia’s expanding Poland schedule

The Gdansk route is part of Air Arabia’s broader European flight network from Sharjah. The airline’s listed destinations include Milan Bergamo, Munich, Vienna, Athens, Prague, Krakow, Warsaw Chopin, London Gatwick, and Rome. Frankfurt and Katowice are also set to be added to this route network. Gdansk provides travelers in Poland’s Baltic region with a direct scheduled connection to the UAE via Sharjah, broadening access to the Middle East for the Pomeranian area.

Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali highlighted the significance of Gdansk’s addition, emphasizing that the airline is expanding its presence in Poland. Gdansk Airport President Tomasz Kloskowski also acknowledged the strategic importance of the direct Sharjah link for the Pomeranian community. The airport acts as a transfer hub for destinations in India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and East Africa. Serving the wider Tri-City area, which comprises Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot, Gdansk Airport facilitates connections for several northern Polish localities.

Five weekly flights link Sharjah with Gdansk

Air Arabia’s fleet includes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft operating across its network. The airline has opened booking options for the Gdansk route via its website, call center, and travel agents. The published schedule assigns G9 0628 and G9 0629 to the Monday and Saturday rotations, respectively. Flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays will run as G9 0626 from Sharjah and G9 0627 from Gdansk. These five weekly services will provide nonstop flights in both directions between the two airports.

The route launch on Dec. 14 will precede the start of the airline’s Katowice services by three days. With existing connections to Krakow and Warsaw, the addition of Gdansk will bring Air Arabia’s Polish network to four cities. Passengers traveling to and from Gdansk will have five nonstop flights each week according to the published timetable. As of Aug. 26, 2026, the airline maintains the Dec. 14 launch date and the scheduled five-flights-per-week operation for the Sharjah-Gdansk route.
